The piano scene shown during the opening and closing credits for the series is taken from the filming of this episode.
While the song is attributed to Patty and Cathy Lane in the show, the real composers were Robert Wells (lyrics) and Sid Ramin & Ethel Huber (music).
Richard accuses Patty of "having more angles than Sgt. Bilko," a likable, but constantly scheming character played by Phil Silvers on his TV comedy series The Phil Silvers Show (1955).
The lyrics Patty recites, then Cathy sings, are rendered slightly differently from the lyrics Jimmy Dean sings. Patty and Cathy's "All has gone" is changed to "All is gone" and "The skies cry" to "The sky cries." The song Jimmy Dean sings also contains two more stanzas in the lyrics than Patty and Cathy's rendering.
This is the third of eight credited appearances Timothy Neufeld makes in the series, sometimes as Tim, sometimes as Tom, other times, as here, an unnamed character.
