The End Of The Zordon Era
jeremycrimsonfox29 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a good way to end Power Rangers in Space. With the universe conquered and Earth about to be taken, Andros finds Zordon, who asks him to break his tube, which will kill the mentor, but destroy all evil in the universe. Meanwhile, the other rangers must make their last stand, as the people of Angel Grove soon learn their identities and stand with them.

Power Rangers in Space is one of the seasons considered to be the best, and this ending proves it, as the Rangers are facing their darkest hour. While it does have some errors, some of them can be forgiven considering In Space was originally planned to be the end of the Power Rangers franchise (hence why all the evil villains are destroyed or purified, as back then, Saban did not think the series would continue after Turbo became a ratings disaster). Also, while past rangers do not appear, it is understandable, as Saban, being non-union, could not afford to have a big finale bringing back everyone (that, and some of the actors may have refused to return, especially David Yost, who has had a history of being bullied by the staff, as well as any actor who wore the spandex suits who were assigned with the Screen Actors' Guild). But this is a good final episode of a season nonetheless, especially if it's viewed as originally intended.

Final Conflict
hellraiser720 May 2017
Warning do not read unless seen episode.

Most finales to arcs and even TV shows are bittersweet, it's a bit sad because it's the end of a great story that you didn't want to end but on another hand it's a payoff to a long journey.

The Rangers at their lowest point yet. I honestly wasn't sure what the hell they we're going to do, they were all out manned, outgunned, and out of time.

Andros knows the only way to end the war is to confront his sister Karonia and either save her or kill her; it's similar to Luke's dilemma in "Return of the Jedi" as he is conflicted on saving or killing his father Anakin which is pretty heavy and not an easy thing to ask anyone. I really felt for Andros as so much has been taken away from him, and just as he's found one of the best things in his life lost to him he now may have to sacrifice her to save billions.

I really like the final chemistry between Ashley and him which I thought was beautiful; both were always one of my favorite couples in the show. Really like the cinematography shot and lighting of both of them in from of a barrel of fire, it really shows how both truly love each other because their feels burn for one another. The only disappointment was that both of them didn't kiss, but I get the feeling in the future as both become more they will.

We then see a great moment which is the I am Sparticus like moment, where we then at first see Bulk and Skull announce that they are Power Rangers. And then the other supporting characters and everyone around them join in. In this scene is to show that heroism isn't just for the Power Rangers but that it is for everyone.

The real Power Rangers then show up and once again transform and engage in the final battle. But what makes this battle truly epic is seeing everyone of the civilians standing up to fight, and we see Bulk and Skull leading the charge. That was just an exciting and crowd pleasing moment, the Power Rangers aren't just a team anymore but an army.

Then there is the conflict on the ship, which was intense and suspenseful. The other theme of the episode which is about sacrifice. Poor Andros is just faced with the ulitirism principle on having to sacrifice one life to save billions this is not just with Karona but with Zordon.

We first see Andros fight with Karona. Of course we see he is not really fighting back, as he is getting a thrashing from her. Andros is doing everything he can to get reason though to her but it is to no avil. It then comes to a moment when she's about to kill him but then he takes his weapon and blocks the bolt but the bolt defects toward Karona and hits her. I'll admit it was a really heart sinking moment, I honestly didn't want it to happen but it was a life or death situation it couldn't be helped; and Andros is on his knees and just broken about it. We know it was not his fault, it was more that she killed herself, she welded power for evil and that very power turned against her.

Then of course Andros is faced with having to destroy Zordon's energy tube to save the entire universe. We see Andros is broken up about this as he is forced to sacrifice a friend to save billions. It really was great seeing Zordon again which makes it all the more sad, he's been a father to the Power Rangers and has been with us throughout the long haul but this truly is the end of the road. Andros at first doesn't go through with it but then as things get more intense, Andros realizes there truly is no other way and does what he must do; at that moment I thought goodbye Zordon.

It was a bittersweet moment as we see Zordon dies but he dies a hero in the end as his energy destroys all that is evil and heals anyone corrupted by evil. It really put a conclusions to all of the villains throughout the series but also it marked the end of the Zordon era for the series.

The final minutes were really touching. We then see Andros come out of the lead ship caring Karonia in his arms lifeless; which is really sad reminding us that where there is victory it is never without sacrifice. And we're not totally sure what's going to happen but Andros produces a tear and like in fairy tale fashion that tear is the essese of love which then cures Karonia healing her of the evil influence and corruption in her and has turned her back to normal. Which I thought was sweet, and showed that the last remnant of evil is truly gone.

But the best final moment was just as everyone was about to take off we then see not just Karonia and Zane join in but Andros comes because he realizes not just is his home with them but his home is with Ashley.

Well there's nothing left to say except farewell, Andros, Ashley, Karonia, Zane, Carlos, Cassie and T.J. you guys were my favorite Power Rangers team which is why I'll miss you but you fought your final conflict and won. Just like the stars in the sky you'll always be there.
