Poor Darlene must have been terrified

Season 9 is the one where they took a stab at drama, rather than comedy (though I don't THINK it was intentional ... from the laugh track, it appears they were GOING for comedy, even if they didn't succeed).

As I said above, Darlene must have been terrified: her first doctor featured used to be Becky's principal.

The specialist that they had flown in was Leon's ex-boyfriend (guy who owned the failed book shop).

I wouldn't want either to be MY doctor, that's for sure.

I don't know if season 9 was such a failure (not funny) because Roseanne was listed as the writer or co-writer for most of the episodes.

Dan hears about Roseanne spending time with Edgar and comes to talk with her. After a conversation they decide to stay together. And then Darlene is taking to hospital because of premature contractions. They try to keep the baby from being born. There is a last resort drug which may cause a lot of side effects and Darlene decides to take it.

Nice to see Dan and Roseanne back. They had a pretty good conversation. Written very well fitting their characters. I am glad we get to see them together for a bit more.

And they have a very dramatic story about Darlene keeping them closer together. One really wants to know what will happen now.
