Dream Lover (#3.10)

Warning: Spoilers
Dan keeps on having a dream that he has sex with another woman which makes him feel guilty and Roseanne upset. Then she meets the woman in her diner and tries to figure out what is the reason that Dan is attracted to her.

The scene where they see the woman in the diner is pretty good. I like how the guy shows who works in that place and the reaction of everybody. Only Roseanne find her attractive. But then again it is because she is very similar to Roseanne. And not only when it comes to looks. The scene where she orders the sandwich is pretty good! So Dan isn't really cheating in the dreams, he is just confused.

Roseanne: If we're not having Wednesday, what's he so happy about? Jackie: Just 'cause you guys aren't having Wednesday doesn't mean that he's out Wednesday-ing somebody else.

Warning: Spoilers
Dream Lover is about Dan having dreams about a woman from the hardware store.

Roseanne's jealous because the woman Dan's dreaming about is quite attainable and has a personality much like herself. The highlight of the episode, the scene at the diner. The only character appearances of Carl and Marge during the entirety of the show. Terrific episode.

Roseanne: We're trying to have a private conversation here, Carl. Carl: What did I say? I said, "cup of coffee." I got a mall to protect. I'm not here to yak about bikini wax, though I've given a few in my time. Roseanne: One coffee to go! Carl: Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends? Roseanne: Yes. That's my sister Jackie and my girlfriend Crystal. Roseanne: Crystal, Jackie, this is Carl. He's a big loser. Would you like cream, Carl? Carl: Yes, thanks. Hey, are you the sister who's a cop? Jackie: Yeah, but I'm off the force. Got hurt in the line of duty. Carl: Really? That's great. God, I hope to get hurt someday. You like guns? I got some beauties at home. Maybe we can get together and kill something. Jackie: What? Carl: What's good for you Friday, Saturday? Jackie: Never. Carl: Okay, good. We'll leave it open. Well, see you, ladies. Roseanne: Um, Carl. Jackie: Don't call him back here. Carl: Yeah? Roseanne: You say you know everyone in the mall. Carl: It's my job, Roseanne. Roseanne: Well, there's this woman. Carl: I know her. Roseanne: She works at Fillmore's hardware store, a little redhead. Jackie: Roseanne, just let it drop. Roseanne: I want to know what she's got that I ain't got. Carl: Marge Dolman? What about her? Jackie: No way. No. Ain't there somebody else that works there, some cute little foxy thing? Carl: Nope. She's it. Roseanne: Damn. She's cute! Why is he dreaming about her? Crystal: She could be younger. Jackie: Yeah. Maybe that's it. Roseanne: You think so? Crystal: Yeah. You're much older than she is. You could be her mother. Roseanne: I'm going to pretend you didn't say that, Crystal. Crystal: Me, too. Carl: Is anyone going to tell me what's going on? Roseanne: No. Carl: Okay. I get it. I'm out of here. Call me. Roseanne: I'm going to go over and talk to her. Jackie: No, don't! Roseanne: She's Dan's dream woman, Jackie. I want to see what it is about her. Hi. I'm your waitress Roseanne Conner, Dan's wife and mother of his three children. Marge: Can I order now? Roseanne: Yeah. Marge: I'll have a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, but not in that order. Mayonnaise on the bread, tomato, then lettuce, then bacon. Whole wheat toast, lightly toasted. Wait. Put the Mayo on the side. In fact, put everything on the side. I'll put it together. You won't get it right. Roseanne: Okay. Well? Well, she's not just cute. She's got a great personality.
