Lanford's Elite (#9.16)

Warning: Spoilers
Roseanne and Jackie get invited to Lanford Country Club and meet a lot of important people there. One of them is Edgar Wellman Jr. who is a son of the guy Roseanne used to work for. She remembers the times in the factory and also how she left. He actually didn't meet her by coincidence but wanted to in order to ask for some money as there is some danger for Lanford.

I can't say the episode was of the usual quality. There just wasn't enough to laugh about. But it was great to remember Roseanne's factory experience and bring it back for a story. We'll see how this story will go. It might end up being pretty good.

Roseanne and "social elite" just don't get well together
Tyanneh28 September 2021
Roseanne as a socialite is awful, awful thing to watch. Her sarcasm, harshness and bluntness might have been somewhat funny in the blue collar setting, but they just seem unnatural and annoying in a country Club, because now she's acting like she's better than everyone. She can't decide if she wants to make fun of "elite of Lanford" or become one of them.
