The cast's surprised reaction to Bonnie's rendition of "You Really Got a Hold on Me" was genuine. Bonnie Bramlett wasn't originally supposed to appear in the scene, but as soon as John Goodman began singing she rushed onto the stage to join in, giving what was essentially a show-stopping performance.
Becky and Jackie both have long hair. In the previous episode, "Dances with Darlene," they both have short hair.
Nana Mary was named after Roseanne's real life grandmother Mary.
This episode was filmed before the previous episode "Dances with Darlene." This is very obvious because both Lecy Goranson's and Laurie Metcalf's hair was short in the last episode while being long in this one.
In this episode, Shelley Winters joins the cast as Roseanne's grandmother. She is only seven years older than Estelle Parsons (who portrays Roseanne's mother).
