In his 2019 autobiography, "Baby Don't Hurt Me", Chris Kattan mentions that this show featured the first Suel Forrester that was specifically written for SNL (the two previous sketches having been performed at the Groundlings first). He also recounts that the "Bellhops" sketch he wrote and performed with Will Ferrell and Jim Breuer originated when he accidentally knocked over an empty water cooler bottle in the hallway and the three of them started throwing more of these bottles around. This sketch emulated the style of 1930's physical comedy Kattan loves and remains one of his favorite sketches.
