According to Michael Patrick King, the sidewalk Carrie is walking down while talking on the phone to Mr. Big is the same sidewalk she strolls down during the opening credits, only this time, Carrie is walking in the opposite direction. Michael Patrick King explains that this is meant to symbolize that Carrie's journey to find herself and find love has come full circle.
The music that plays over the montage of Carrie exploring Paris alone was actually written by Mikhail Baryshnikov, and first appeared in the episode The Ick Factor (2004)
The fur coat Carrie wears at the end of the episode is the same she is seen wearing in season one.
