Hit and Miss

This is more than a clips show, even though there are several. We get a look at the beginnings of the show with badly drawn characters with different voices. We also get a look at outtakes, some of which are pretty good. The creative team is made to look like a mob of psychos but what else could they be?

Funny and self-aware

The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular! Is from season seven of The Simpsons and what I like about this episode is how self-aware it is, parodying the clip-show genre that Community later parodied with a very sharp eye. Anyway, The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular! Is worth watching with reference to the Tracey Ullman shorts which was the origins of The Simpsons.

Sure, some of the clips are funny, an they bring a smile to clip shows in particular which some writers use to save money and all. Anyway, for me it's the first 10 seasons of The Simpsons that is the golden era for sure init right.

The deleted scenes slightly made up for the fact that it was a clipshow

It's still not a good episode, makes it okay instead of bad.

The little trivia questions about the show before the commercial breaks were kind of fun.

Would've been weird if it Smithers shot Mister Burns and that alternative ending was the real ending.

Easily the Best Clip Show(SPOILERS)

SPOILERS

Let us be brutally honest here. Simpson clip shows are horrible. Well, except for this one. This clip show is the only clip show that you have a lot of fun watching. Plus it has a lot of old Simpson Tracey Ullman shorts. That is how the Simpsons first started, on the Tracey Ullman Show. Besides, this clip show is only Troy McClure with clips from episodes. Troy McClure is a good character. Oh, and by the way, this is the only hilarious and funny clip show. I mean, the other clip shows are not funny at all. Some are embarrassing to even watch.

The basis of this clip show is to show the Simpsons. Tory McClure hosts the Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular. He shows up old Simpsons Tracey Ullman Shorts. He also answers questions that are in fan mail written by teachers and scientists. Why are teachers and scientists writing to the Simpsons? I have not got a clue. Anyway, he also shows us deleted scenes of classic episodes. Do you know the coolest part about this clip show? He also shows us the alternate ending to Who Shot Mr. Burns? It was Smithers, not Maggie.

Overall, this is one of the best episodes of Season Seven. Season Seven had a lot of good episodes so that is saying a lot. This is also one of the funniest episodes in Season Seven and that is, well, you get the idea. There are also a lot of subtle jokes, like Troy McClure pausing, then laughing, at a Tracey Ullman Short. This is one of the best episodes in Season Seven, but it is not the very best Simpsons episode ever.

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode theres so many jokes about simpsons writers and how they get the episodes, that is funny not only because that, but because many clips from old episodes are good to remember why you love the simpsons.
