Bairbre Dowling (Edith) was the ex-wife of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) star Colm Meaney.
Janeway comments that a holodeck character is a "300-deciwatt holodeck program." A deciwatt is one tenth of a watt, so 300 dW would be 30 watts, or about the same as a refrigerator light bulb.

In Irish custom, the insignia of the Gaelic harp (Clarsach) was seen as a defiant symbol of resistance to the English crown, so much that it became banned by the empire, though never falling far from Irish and Scottish history.
