O'Neill tells paranoid veteran Vernon Sharpe that the aliens are from "Melmac". When Sharpe asks, "Isn't that where ALF was from?" O'Neill says he never saw the show. This is an in joke since for most of its run ALF (1986) was in the same time slot as MacGyver (1985).
The airplane in which Vernon is hiding from Colonel O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) says Anderson Air by the window. This is the name of an actual aviation company in British Columbia, where the show was filmed.
The hangar where Vernon hides is the same one used in Redemption: Part 1 (2002) and Redemption: Part 2 (2002) where the X-302 is being held.
Vernon's gas station is actually the old Glenwood Market in Langley, British Columbia.
