- While on an archaeological dig at the original Goa'uld home world, Daniel is captured by a young Unas. He tries to communicate with it and slowly builds a rapport. Meanwhile, SG-1 comes to the planet to find Daniel and they soon realise that some of the SG-team members there may have been taken over by Goa'uld. Will they be able to discover which ones in time to rescue Daniel?—Anonymous
- While Daniel and Dr. Robert Rothman perform an archaeological dig on an original Goa'uld planet, they find a queen corpse, indicating the species was predatory, without naquadah, before it turned parasitic. Suddenly their military escort is surprised, Airman Loder killed, and Daniel dragged away by a strong monster, which Rothman suggests -correctly- to look like an Unas, a primitive humanoid species which SG-1 encountered on Cimmeria, the planet with Thor's Hammer. While SG-1 and Rothman return to give chase, Daniel -who notices his captor is an anatomically distinct subspecies- slowly learns the language and culture behind their scary grunts, and surprisingly human emotions; enough to strike up a friendly rapport after a failed escape and being saved from a Goa'uld larva attack out of the water. When Teal'c discovers the same aquatic larvae, he deals with the likelihood of one or more expedition members being infected, before resuming the chase and catching up with Daniel in a "tribal" cave where initiations are held.—KGF Vissers
- Out on an archaeological expedition, the camp is attacked and Daniel Jackson is kidnapped by an Unas, the creatures the Goa'uld used as hosts before the Jaffa. For Daniel, it's pretty clear that the Unas has every intention of killing him, perhaps as a rite of passage to manhood. Slowly, he tries to communicate with the creature and actually begins to make headway. The rest of the SG-1 team travels to the planet to rescue Daniel, but after spending the night they are told that some of them may have been taken over by the Goa'uld. As a result, they must first find those who can no longer be trusted. Meanwhile, the Unas takes Daniel to his tribe's den.—garykmcd
- Daniel is working at an archaeological dig with Dr. Robert Rothman when they find the skeleton of an ancient Goa'uld. Out of the blue, Daniel is abducted by an Unas that kills an SG-11 soldier. Dr. Rothman returns to the SGC, and the SG-1 travels to the planet with a rescue team to seek out Daniel. Out of the blue, Teal'c tells them that one member of the search party is possessed by a Goa'uld, and no one can be trusted. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to communicate with the Unas, and concludes that the Unas is young; then the Unas is challenged by the alpha male of his tribe.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
