Adapted from an Oscar Wilde novel or simple writing, it is of course one more tale taking place in Victorian England, nearly a satyriric drama. But from Oscar Wilde, how could you expect it in a different way? I must admit that Ronald Colman is exquisite in this character, so is also Sebastian Cabot. And the opening scene, with the anatomy chart representing a hand, is unforgettable for such a story. I won't wipe this episode off although, it has its good moments. But I expected a little more, just a little. Even if I did not know this short Oscar Wilde's novel before. I think that in a film, it could have been better. Yes, maybe it lacked length to be totally adequate in telling. Try it anyway, it deserves it. I only told my own opinion, as usual.
