In the originally broadcast episode in 1992, but edited out when the series was placed on Channel 4's on-demand streaming service "All 4" years later, Julian makes a catty remark about always using "Jason's Celebrity Car Hire" service when he travels, and explains this is because they are discreet and "take you round the back and promise not to tell anyone". This double entendre, which prompted raucous laughter and applause from the studio audience, was a reference to Australian actor/ pop star
Jason Donovan who had recently sued The Face magazine for libel in 1992, after it had published allegations that he was gay. Donovan claimed he wasn't gay and actually won the libel case (winning £200,000 in damages and a further £92,000 in costs), but his act of litigation made him appear homophobic and had the effect of alienating many of his fans. His career never recovered, and he later admitted that suing The Face was the biggest mistake of his life.
