Jackie has her TV 'news' show with Donna behind the camera, who get her freaky nervous just before it goes on air, so it all goes horribly wrong. After a pep-talk from fellow screw-up Eric she tries again, guest-starring 'slut expert' Michael, who also stars unexpectedly as the perfect good sport when Angie tries again.—KGF Vissers
- Jackie gets her own local cable TV show but bombs out on her first show while Eric meets Stewie, an unemployed 36 year old, who shares Eric's love of fantasy comics and Star Wars and Kelso tries to teach an inept Angie the basics of 'The Burn'. Jackie surprisingly perseveres with her TV show to discover she can make it on her own while Angie pulls off a major 'burn' on Kelso on live cable TV. Eric is freaked out when he finds out that Stew still lives at home with his mother, giving Eric an eerie glimpse of his own future.—Miranda O'Shea
- Angie proves it's possible to be worse at mastering the art of 'burns', than her lover Kelso at anything intellectual. Angie can't get her comic timing right, no matter how hard she tries. Angie even tries a piggyback burn, and the guys shake their heads at that. Eric says that to burn people, Angie has to humiliate someone to make other people laugh. She has to combine the elements of embarrassment and surprise.
After another ass-aimed lecture from Red about wasting an entire year, Kitty gives Eric a Cosmo quiz and according to his answers suggests that he become a nurse. Actually, Kitty changed all of Eric's answers based on her understanding of her little boy. Eric hits on great with fellow comic fan and Sci-Fi erudite unemployed couch potato Stew Bailey (Jamie Kaler). Eric meets Stew at the record store and learns that Stew spends the entire day reading comic books at the record store. Eric is inspired and invites Stew to the basement. Stew says that he has seen Star Wars in 7 different states and met the midget they stuck inside R2D2. He claims that he has a very fulfilling life. But Eric is turned off seeing Stewie's ma is his best friend at age 36. Eric returns home and throws out all his comic books.
Jackie has her TV 'news' show with Donna behind the camera, who gets her freaky nervous just before it goes on air. Jackie freezes after Donna says that thousands of people are going to watch her. So, it all goes horribly wrong, Jackie misspells her name by calling herself Backie Jurkhart, and it goes downhill from there. Jackie starts sweating profusely on live TV and starts making weird squeaking noises as she cannot get any complete sentences or even words out of herself.
Jackie and Hyde run into each other, and this time Jackie backs away from saying anything about her feelings to Hyde. She tells Fez that Hyde doesn't want to be together and hence she has no option but to drop the whole subject.
Hyde talks to Fez and wants to know what Jackie wanted to talk about at the record store. Hyde tells Fez that he wouldn't mind knowing if Jackie wanted to get back together. But Fez feigns ignorance of the whole matter. Hyde asks Eric and he tells Hyde that Hyde was happy with Jackie. Fez admits that he was lying when he said he didn't know anything, and tells Hyde that Jackie still loves him.
Jackie is at her lowest point and comes to the basement to be with her friends. Moments before Kelso had demonstrated how he cut hair from Eric's head to give him a burn, and Angie emulates the same stunt on Jackie. Only Jackie is mortified and runs out laughing, and the guys again shake their head at Angie's lack of timing.
After a pep-talk from fellow screw-up Eric, Jackie tries her TV news program again. Jackie is supposed to do a segment with Kelso. 'Burn expert' Michael, stars unexpectedly as the perfect good sport when Angie tries again. Angie pulls his pants down on live TV and calls "Burn" and Kelso hugs her for getting it right.
Hyde meets Jackie, but her confidence is sky high after a good TV show. Hyde backs off.
