- Erin has returned to her dysfunctional family. Titus quits drinking and is determined to win Erin back. Unfortunately, Erin's family don't want her to leave because they like having Erin (and her credit rating) around to take care of them.
- After losing his shop and his girlfriend, Titus quits drinking and decides to win Erin back, but Erin's dysfunctional family (most of which were last seen in "The Perfect Thanksgiving") will not let their daughter go without a fight. Titus goes to Erin's parents house several times, but Erin would not even consider talking to him. She shoots the head off the teddy bear; she throws boiling water on Titus's head, and she sets the dogs on Titus to scare him away.
On Valentine's Day, Titus takes Dave's help to abduct Erin and bring her back to Ken's place. Dave lures Erin outside her parent's house, Titus then sneaks in behind her and puts a burlap sack covering her whole body, bundles her and carries her away. Erin still won't go back with Titus to his place. When Titus gave up, she gave up as well and now for the first time in her life, Erin feels free. She no longer has to be the responsible one. She doesn't have to get up every morning and put on a fresh pair of clothes.
Turns out Erin had adapted to her dysfunctional family to the point that she didn't care about anything in her life. Her family has addicts, arsonists, and violent behaviors, all of which now don't even faze Erin. She simply takes it in her stride as a normal family. Titus calls in Ken. Ken loves Erin and would do anything for her. Before Ken can get there (Titus and Tommy were outside briefing him on the situation), Erin tricks Dave to get into the burlap sack (she argues that being in the sack is a lot of fun) and let her out. Titus stops her from escaping in Ken's pickup truck by deflating all the tires.
Ken tries to reverse psych Erin by saying that walking out on her man, is part of every woman's life. Ken says that Erin is a woman and hence it is not her fault that she destroyed Titus's soul. Ken twists words to confuse Erin into agreeing to stay with Titus. But then Erin realizes that Ken is trying to confuse her. She still wants to leave.
That's when Erin's family comes to take her away. They threaten violence if Erin is not allowed to leave. Erin's father is cruel to Titus when he says that he must be some special kind of loser for Erin to walk out on him. But now Titus won't allow them to walk away with Erin. He fights for her. Ken tells Titus that he was supposed to be Erin's white knight and he let her down. Titus was supposed to rescue Erin from her family, instead he gave up on them and made Erin lose all hope. Titus apologizes to Erin for giving up on himself and her. Titus says that Erin lived with her parents her whole life and still saved herself from becoming like them. Ken tells Titus that he has said everything that he wanted to say, and now he should walk away. Erin has to make a decision. They reunite when Erin decides not to leave with her family.
