Jill's surprise
salgonjulien4217 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
In this eighteenth episode Charlie has a big surprise one of its ex, Jill became a man, Bill. Practically all the funny situations of this very good episode rest(base) on this funny basic premise. Of this idea of original base(basis), the whole becomes even funnier when Bill goes out with the mother of Charlie who does not know about the history(story). The humor of this episode is very representative of the series at the same time ironic, heavy without ever being too vulgar, cruel. Everything the characters are for the diapason and in particular Charlie and Berta. But it is necessary to admit that all the scenes(stages) are not for the same excellent level and of constancy in the laughter. In any case this episode is one of the best of this rich season due to its originality and its saving freedom of speech.

Old flame. New Wick.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a strong first series of the show, and that in part is down to the fact it went for genuine heart rather than just the smut it would become over reliant on in later years.

There's a good plot to pin all the jokes on, and it manages to get most of the main characters involved. I even liked the Holland Taylor character, which for me is a rarity.

Charlie Sheen as ever gives a good performance. His reaction as Charlie is an honest one, and he earns every laugh he gets. His character is far more 3D than it would become as the series progressed.

A very strong episode overall.
