Jayne Mansfield was in New York City to perform on the stage revival of 'Bus Stop' (1955) at the Yonkers Playhouse, co-starring her husband Mickey Hargitay. William Inge's play was previously adapted into Bus Stop (1956).
Panelist Martin Gabel and Jayne Mansfield had previously worked together in the original 1955 Broadway production of "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?", which ran for 444 performances and was loosely adapted into 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957)', one of Mansfield's several box-office successes.
