- Mulder: Well, on behalf of the International Jewish Conspiracy, I just need to inform you that we're... almost out of gas.
- [Mulder slows down for a stoplight]
- Patrick Crump: What the hell are you doing?
- Mulder: I'm composing a sonnet; what does it look like I'm doing?
- Mulder: Crump, what else can you tell me about what's happening to you?
- Patrick Crump: Mr. Crump. You call me by my last name you say "mister" in front of it.
- Mulder: Mister. Gotcha.
- Patrick Crump: Not Crump. Mr. Crump.
- Mulder: I can think of something else I'd like to call you. I can put "mister" in front of that too if you'd like.
- Patrick Crump: Hey uh... The Jew stuff. No offence. I mean, a man can't help who he's born to.
- Mulder: That was an apology, right? Gee I don't know if I can see to drive, my eyes are tearin' up so bad!
- Dana Scully: [On phone] Mulder, are you okay?
- Mulder: Yeah, aside from terminal cell phone withdrawal... That, and I got to pee.
- Mulder: I don't know how well you recall the last 30 seconds, but your life is in my hands, regardless of whether or not you hold that gun.
- Mulder: I'm guessing we got 2 or 3 miles before the roadblock...
- Patrick Crump: What roadblock? I got rid of the cops!
- Mulder: Check your window!
- Patrick Crump: [Looks through window and sees a chopper overhead] Oh man, if we get stopped... .!
- Mulder: [after Crump throws Mulder's cellphone out the window] That is SO STUPID Crump! That is SO STUPID!
- Mulder: [after seeing a news report where Crump's wife's head seemingly exploded in their car] You saw the news report. What did you make of it?
- Dana Scully: The obvious assumption is that she was shot, regardless of what the police say. Maybe it was a sniper.
- Mulder: In the word's of the captain, "She just sorta popped".
- Med Tech: [to Mulder, who's trying to get into the ambulance van to see Patrick Crump] Five's a crowd, buddy.
- Mulder: You gotta stay alive if you wanna stick it to the government. If you die, you let them off the hook!
- Navy Lieutenant: At 6:17 yesterday morning, during a test of our ground conduction radio system, a situation arose in which our equipment experienced a brief power surge. That's what interrupted television reception in the four-state area. Steps have already been taken to ensure this won't happen again.
- Dana Scully: The ground conduction radio, that would be Project Seafarer?
- Navy Lieutenant: The specifics of what we do here are classified, ma'am.
- Dana Scully: Sure, sure. Would you happen to know what effect such a surge might have on an organism? Say um... a human being?
- [the navy officer gives her a blank look]
- Dana Scully: Theoretically speaking?
- Navy Lieutenant: Theoretically speaking... . that's classified as well, ma'am!
- Alvin Kersh: [On the phone with Scully, after finding out they went to Nevada against orders and Mulder is being held at gunpoint by Crump in a speeding car] Agent Scully, at this point, I want to see Agent Mulder alive even more than you do!
- Dana Scully: Well as we said sir, this is just routine.
- Mulder: [Gloomy] So routine, it numbs the mind.
- Mulder: Your one chance is that we meet my partner at the end of the highway. There, she will insert a long, large-bore needle into your inner ear hopefully relieving the pressure. Now, when we get there she's going to have to work fast. She's only going to have one chance. She's not going to be able to use any anesthetic and it will probably leave you deaf.
- Patrick Crump: [Hopefully] But I'll live, right?
- [Mulder nods]
- Patrick Crump: Well, that's what it's all about.
- [Pats Mulder on the shoulder]
- Patrick Crump: All right, man. Let's do it.
- Mulder: [after running a red light due to Crump being in intense pain when stopped] Crump? Is this what happened to your wife? This same thing? You stop moving, you die? I think I saw this movie!
- Patrick Crump: [Sees Mulder's FBI Badge] It's you people! Figures!
- Mulder: What figures?
- Patrick Crump: SHUT UP!
- Dana Scully: Mulder, we're not going to Nevada.
- Mulder: C'mon Scully... just one quick side trip!
- Dana Scully: No, sorry Mulder. We have a whole new assignment.
- Mulder: Running down people that buy fertilizer? This is bozo work. This is the FBI equivalent of wearing an orange jump suit and picking up trash on the side of the highway.
- Patrick Crump: I see what this is! I am not sick and I do not have the flu! Vicky and me were just some kinda government guinea pigs!
- Mulder: The sun will rise in America tomorrow, regardless of whether we're at a farm investigating yet another enormous pile of doo-doo.
