- [Mastermold wants Trask to replace Senator Kelly's brain with a computer]
- Trask: You can't make me do this! You were designed to protect humans from mutants!
- Mastermold: That is not logical. Mutants *are* humans.
- [Trask gasps]
- Mastermold: Therefore, humans must be protected from themselves.
- Trask: [stammering weakly] No... you misunderstood!
- [Scott and Jean appear on a monitor]
- Jean Grey: There's nothing more beautiful than the beginning of a new day. You never know how it's going to turn out. That's what gives hope for the future: not knowing.
- Mr. Sinister: Hope for the future.
- [laughter]
- Mr. Sinister: Sinister knows what your future holds.
- [Wolverine and Gambit, in a dark tunnel, suddenly find themselves surrounded by Sentinels]
- Wolverine: Get out of here, Cajun!
- [They both run for the door, but Wolverine shuts it between them]
- Gambit: [pounding on the door] Wolverine!
- [Wolverine charges back toward the Sentinels, and manages to down two, before getting blasted. Gambit charges one of his cards and blows the door open]
- Wolverine: [weakly] I'm not finished yet...
- [Much later, the two of them are standing atop a pile of destroyed Sentinels]
- Wolverine: Next time I try to save your life, have sense enough to let me do it.
- Trask: Mastermold, this new sentinel won't obey my orders, it's defective!
- Mastermold: It is not defective, I am giving the orders now!
- [Gambit has left a charged card in an elevator]
- Sentinel #1: What is that object?
- Sentinel #2: It appears to be the Ace of Spades.
- [card explodes]
- Mastermold: Mutants!
- Senator Robert Kelly: It's Mastermold!
- Mastermold: I cannot be destroyed!
- Professor X: You are the living embodiment of all that is evil and unjust in humankind. You must be destroyed!
- Beast: [hanging upside down in a cell, reading] To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day to day... Ah, the immortal Bard, so wise about the struggle of the oppressed.
- [leaps down and lands on his feet]
- Beast: Yet, today, by the good graces of a prominent senator, I find myself no longer numbered among them.
- Cyclops: Jean, I've been wondering...
- Jean Grey: Yes?
- Cyclops: I'm wondering, will you marry me?
- [Jean turns around]
- Jean Grey: Cyclops...
- Cyclops: Well?
- Jean Grey: If we have children, they'll be mutants. They'll face the same problems we have, all their lives.
- Cyclops: [cups Jean's chin in his hand] I wouldn't have it any other way.
- [Scott and Jean kiss]
