NEW YORK -- NBC News added to its executive ranks Tuesday, announcing two additional vps to serve under president Steve Capus. Doug Vaughan, a former supervising producer of Today, will become vp in charge of longform programming and NBC News booking. He also will remain in charge of NBC Entertainment's special programming, a job he has had since 2002. Lloyd Siegel has been named vp news partnerships after having been director of news partnerships. During the past four years, Vaughan has been responsible for all creative aspects of NBC Entertainment's special programming, including Christmas in Rockefeller Center and specials starring Cher, Faith Hill and Jamie Foxx. He was senior entertainment and arts producer at Today from 1993-2000. He also has been a columnist at New York Newsday, editorial production manager at US Magazine and advertising production manager at the Village Voice. Siegel's job has been with promotional and editorial content for 200 NBC affiliates for the network newscasts and MSNBC. He also has been a reporter at two TV stations and a field producer in the NBC News Washington bureau.
