One of Pico's hobbies is revealed to be birdwatching, with a depressed Dimitri tagging along to boost up his state of mind. This feature would rather fit Pico's replacement Pol De Tremmerie who's a high school teacher in biology. Pico is a teacher technical subjects and he could be seen repairing TV sets in his spare time as an extra income. It is the only time he goes birdwatching.
This is the only time in show history De Kampioenen are genuinely concerned about Dimitri De Tremmerie's well-being.
This is the first time Boma's regular nightclub "Pussycat" is mentioned.
Like in some of the previous titles, a running gag concerning Oscar is on display. This time, his coffee machine falters or slips all the time.
The first title directed by another person than the show's co-creator Willy Vanduren. Eric Taelman was reeled in as Vanduren would call it quits after Betrapt! (1993) with Taelman and later Dirk Corthout (briefly, for seven titles) and Stef Desmyter taking over. In 1995, Taelman quit.
