This is a gem of an episode. The entire existence of the character Joseph Gribble is the focal point of this episode. Obvious to viewers, Joseph is biologically John Redcorn's son and this is not known to Joseph's dad, Dale. Peggy makes it her mission to inform Dale.
Peggy's own discovery of the truth is hilarious. The direction of the scene where Peggy finally pieces things together, the camera panning from Nancy to John Redcorn to Joseph, back to Nancy, and John Redcorn, and Joseph again, illustrating exactly how slow Peggy is to make the realization. I nearly passed out from laughing.
And being a non-white child raised by two white parents, this episode sort of hits home for me. What matters most, above all else, is that Dale loves his son. And there isn't much more beautiful and tear-jerking than that. All over got-dang Encino Man.
