Although it is not revealed who won the "Employee of the Month" award, it is revealed in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie that Spongebob has 374 consecutive "Employee of the Month" awards in the bedroom on the wall of his house. So, it can be assumed that Squidward never won the award in the "Employee of the Month" episode.
Patrick does not appear in "The Chaperone" or "Employee of the Month". However, Patrick is mentioned in "The Chaperone" when SpongeBob was talking about going to Pearl's prom, saying "that was Patrick who brought his mom."
Even though the first SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Help Wanted" aired in 1999, months before "Employee of the Month", SpongeBob claims that he has won the "Employee of the Month" award 26 times in a row. This means that if he had gotten his first within his first month of working, he has been working at the Krusty Krab for at least 2 years and 2 months, meaning that he started working there in 1997.
Despite the fact that "Employee of the Month" was aired on October 2, 1999, no such event was set in the same year or same month. There has been some confusion over exactly when this episode took place. Within SpongeBob's reality, his calendar says March, but actually shows Saturday the 28th as the last day of the month, which would be February, a month that normally has 28 days (except for a leap year, which has 29 days). In 1999, February 28th was a Sunday, so the episode may have taken place in February 1998 as the 28th was a Saturday that year. Another confusion over when the "Employee of the Month" episode took place is that the last "Employee of the Month" picture frame says January on it, so the episode took place in either January or February 1998.
