Patty misunderstands a conversation between her parents about matchmaking for Natalie's niece Ann to be talking about her. Their dialogue with Cathy only seems to confirm it. In actuality, they hope to bring the prospective young man, David Stone (Frank Sinatra Jr.), over to see a nice family setting, having had a rough childhood. Patty plots to talk and act in a despicable manner to turn their target away. When David arrives, Patty puts her plan in action. It actually help his feelings for Ann. Patty overhears her mother talk about the upcoming wedding and feels defeated. Comical misunderstandings continue.
