After Glow (#2.17)

Warning: Spoilers
After their first time Eric is very happy but Donna not so much. She talks to Jackie and tells her. Jackie tells Kelso and he tells it to Eric. But turns out that he wasn't good the first time either and none of the women liked their first time as well. Red buys a motorcycle from his first paycheck. Kitty wants to give it back but changes her mind after a ride.

Hilarious! I loved how they made boys to be cartoons. And also how the women were remembering all their first times. Can't even say who was funner in it. Midge, Kitty or Laurie.

The motorcycle story was also fun. I loved Kitty in it. Her saying she thought he will get something they will both enjoy like a necklace. Or when she came back from the ride all excited and not interested in saving the money for kids anymore.

Warning: Spoilers
Just about everything in this episode rings false; so much of this involves culture norms that developed only with the Reagan era; if we had treated each other thusly in the 1970s, we would have been social pariah. Hatefulness and cruelty really only became socially acceptable with the Reagan era, and today the world can see the harvest.

No "normal" teens were waiting to have sex any longer than they had to, no teens were "burning" their friends, all that hatefulness is a result of the backward swing in society circa Nov. 1980, when a lot of younger people didn't care, because they didn't realize the consequences, such as the younger folk growing up to be thoughtless conservatives, because they had never known anything else.

And here we are today. Let's all go drink some horse purgative, because I don't trust those eggheads! They might.
