An Intense, Emotional Story
ccthemovieman-112 December 2006
Mac is sitting in his office when he gets a call. The caller states he committed a murder awhile ago and stashed the body in the north end zone at Giants Stadium. He can't get that memory of the victim's screams out of his head and needed to confess. He hangs up and puts a gun to his head and kills himself. Wow, what an attention-getter to start this episode. Mac goes to East Rutherford, N.J., and with cooperation from the police and CSI there, finds, indeed a skeleton buried deep in the end zone. The big story here is that Danny Messer of the CSI team is implicated in this murder and Mac must find a way to clear his name.

This is a very intense story with an emotional ending.

A second story as Danny and Stella checking out a murder of a bank CEO, found dead in a hotel room, apparently stabbed to death. There is a message on the bathroom mirror making this look like "a crime of passion."

This is a very seedy story and took away from the first one, which should have been the focus of the entire episode.

Gary and Carmine bring me to tears

Nice to see such intense character driven scenes on a CSI Show. Would love to see more! I believe that episodes like Run Silent Run Deep would benefit from a one story episode as the secondary story line does not leave the time to get into the depth of a story like this. Perhaps the producers should consider not cramming 2 story lines into an episode with so much story to tell. The performance by Carmine will be one I remember and I hope that we will see more story lines bringing the characters back story to the front line. I hope the 3rd season will bring more of this kind of episode because this viewer needs more than scientist exploring a crime scene to keep her engaged. As we come to know the characters outside of the crime scene we are pulled into the show in a very addictive way.
