My review was written in March 1989 after watching a feature length version on Prism video cassette.
This rather pedestrian West German telefilm, actually just episode #7 ("Der Skandal" = "Scandalous" of a 10-part miniseries) bows domestically via video cassette. Originally titled "Blue Blood", it resembles British action tv shows, not surprisingly since it was penned by vet Brian Clemens.
Albert Fortell cuts a fine figure as the stalwart hero, a young aristocrat with no money who's hired by his uncle, the Count, to investigate the murder of a film star. He has to locate Lauren Hutton, who's on the run since she's the sole witness to the crime which could topple a powerful government official if the truth gets out.
Talkative opus relies on the usual tv format of the hero interviewing lots of people to find out what really went down.
Ursula Karven is a pretty blonde heroine, but improbably cast as Fortell's ex-wife who teams up with him for detecting. Their future as an offbeat private eye team is stillborn. Hutton has a rather small role and is miscast as a French woman posing as a German.
English track is okay, with some leads (Fortell, Hutton, Capucine) speaking their own dialog and the remainder dubbed.
