- Peter 'Pete' John Downey: Good news I got a marching band to meet the queen at the airport.
- Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling: A marching band. That's a terrific idea, Pete.
- Peter 'Pete' John Downey: Well, it's not actually a marching band. It's the West River senior center glockenspiel and kazoo ensemble. But they're willing to march.
- Benson DuBois: Those who can.
- Clayton Runnymede Endicott III: A kazoo ensemble to meet the queen. Well congratulations, Peter. You bring new meaning to the phrase Ugly American.
- Miss Gretchen Wilomena Kraus: [Kraus comes into Benson's office] Sorry I'm late. I was tied up.
- Benson DuBois: Kraus, we are not interested in your private life.
- Little John: I'm not afraid of anybody.
- Benson DuBois: Sit down!
- [Little John sits down]
- Little John: But there are some people I respect.
- Denise Florence Stevens: [Clayton has just made a mess of the Queen] What are we gonna do now?
- Benson DuBois: Well, I don't know about you but I'm not kissing her hand.
- Clayton Runnymede Endicott III: [the Governor's staff is lining up for the Queen. Little John, dressed in his paint coveralls, has joined them] What? You're not supposed to be in this line.
- Benson DuBois: Why not? He has less than ten items.
- Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling: What were you talking about just now?
- Katherine 'Katie' Olivia Gatling: Calvin's trying to paint the mansion all by himself. All the hornets went on strike.
- Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling: On strike? Oh, Katie, what are we gonna do?
- Katherine 'Katie' Olivia Gatling: Daddy, I'm your daughter not a member of your cabinet.
- Clayton Runnymede Endicott III: [the hornets are singing as they finish their work] I am not fond of this.
- Benson DuBois: Fine, next time we'll get Guy Lombardo to paint the mansion.
- Benson DuBois: Well, wait a minute Calvin. You're never gonna finish this job by yourself. Maybe you should come to terms with Little John.
- Calvin: Look, Benson, the hornets weren't organized to make Little John rich. The whole idea behind this company is to give these kids a break. Without the hornets, most of them would still be on the streets.
- Benson DuBois: I got news for you, Calvin. Most of them are back out on the streets, picketing.
- Miss Gretchen Wilomena Kraus: [Due to the mansion being painted, the Governor and Benson are trying to work in the kitchen] Here they come, homemade cookies.
- Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling: Oh, Ms. Kraus, must you do that here?
- Miss Gretchen Wilomena Kraus: Well, Governor, this is the kitchen. Where else am I supposed to bake cookies?
- Benson DuBois: Try the disease-control center.
- Miss Gretchen Wilomena Kraus: All right, everybody's aired their grievances. It's been a very productive meeting. Now let's get in there and paint that living room.
- Benson DuBois: Thank you, Norma Rae.
