I watched this film at one of the Tribeca Film Festival screenings. I have to say this is one of the best student shorts I have ever seen.

The director used a heart-wrenching story of a projectionist to portray a shocking historical event that happened in China during 1960s. During those twelve minutes, the film had not only taken its audiences to experience the country lives of the 1960s, but also explored the darkness beneath the calmness. Although, a story that is uniquely about China, The Projectionist's theme is something that we can even relate in today's world.

This film is well made from many aspects, including its directing, music score and cinematography. I highly recommend it.
