I feel like this is a second episode that does everything right to pick up the first episode. It introduces the eventual love interest of the show, builds on the relationship between Shawn and his father, and it helps establish that Shawn is still tyring to prove himself in the detective agency. It also helps set up the idea of how Juliet is the one person who actually believes in him being psychic since she wasn't there at the start. I also like the slow implications of Shawn realizing that he slowly needs to grow up, with his near death experience on his motorcycle, and him working on fixing that house that he told his father he was supposed to make. Perfect follow up episode to a great pilot.

Few Shows Are as Quoteable or as Fun!

If you haven't watched Psych, start with this episode. This shown is a weird combo of ADD and bipolarism (in the form of Shawn) and some of the best straight men (Gus and the Chief) around. You will finish with a smile, laugh lines and elevated serotonin levels.
And you will never misspell banana or Michum again.
