Nice tribute to director John Schlesinger can be found on the Special Edition of MIDNIGHT COWBOY. With such a short running time (9-minutes) there's certainly no way that this can go into any real detail but I think it works as a short piece. Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, Keifer Sutherland, Jerome Hellman are just a few of the faces here talking about what made Schlesinger so special to work with and the certain visions that he was able to get on the screen. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking or Earth-shattering with this thing but it works nicely just to see some familiar faces talking about someone who they greatly admired. Hoffman starts off talking about how he's never worked with someone who was so able to get their vision up on the screen like the director did with MIDNIGHT COWBOY.
