When the pirates prepare to re-program C-3PO, they ask him if he has any preference as to his new name. C-3PO replies "Well, I've always been partial to Anthon- oh dear, what I am saying?", a reference to Anthony Daniels, who plays C-3PO in the Star Wars films and this cartoon.
The Archivist droid in the Baobab Archives is the same model that is seen piloting a B-Wing at the start of the opening credits. This droid was also seen aboard the Fromm gang's transport ship in Escape Into Terror (1985).
The circular hovering Grav-cab transport vehicle used on the Umboo Lightstation was also seen being used by Zebulon Dak on Boonta at the end of A Race to the Finish (1985) and outside Doodnik's Café on Tyne's Horky in The Lost Prince (1985). This makes it the only non-toy based vehicle to appear in all three story arcs of the series, as well as in the opening credits sequence, where it is seen being used by the Droids.
This story takes place on the planet Manda, inside the Cloak of the Sith and on the Umboo Lightstation.
The cases of Nergon-14 are marked with a double 'Z' like the symbol on the side of the Rebel Snowspeeders during the battle of Hoth in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980).
