Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo Band from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) make a cameo appearance at Doodnik's Café in their original 3 alien configuration rather then their expanded Special Edition version.
The four armed cook and owner of Doodnik's Café appears to have been an inspiration for Dexter Jettster in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002).
The design of Jann's wheel bike was reused for General Grievous' vehicle in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).
This story was adapted into a children's storybook entitled "The Lost Prince: A Droid Adventure" by Ellen Weiss.
Action figures of Jann Tosh, Uncle Gundy and Kez-Iban were released in the Star Wars Droids toy line in 1985. The line naturally also included C-3PO and R2-D2, albeit repaints of the figures previously released in Kenner's Star Wars line. Figures of Kleb-Zellock, Jessica Meade and Mon Julpa (in royal robes) were planned for the second series, but went unreleased.
