Another Classic Group That Keeps On Rockin'
ccthemovieman-126 May 2009
Lindsey Buckingham just blew me away in this concert. He is yet one more example of an older performer who bounces around and has the energy of a 20-year-old. It's unbelievable, like Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, on and on. Some of these musical performers are just amazing. Like "The Energizer Bunny," they just "keep going and going."

Buckingham was about 55 when he did this concert, along with Fleetwood Mac originals Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and the rest of the group. Stevie is about the same age as Buckingham and isn't in the shape he's in, but still sounds great, still looks sexy, and still has that trademark raspy, haunting voice of hers. Nobody sounds like Stevie!

This is a very long, energetic concert with a lot of familiar tunes, and many of them - especially the closing numbers - really up-tempo with Buckingham at the tip of the stage, bent over, and having the audience bang on his guitar while he's playing it! It still sounded good! Like the Moody Blues and other groups, these guys may all have gray hair and look their age but they sound just as good, and move just as well, as they did 30 years ago. Good stuff! I was fortunate to see this on high-definition and it looks fantastic, too.

There is a DVD of this concert available, with the complete concert, but it's not in high-def. Still, the group sounds very good and its nice to see most of them (no Christine McVie) back, looking happy and sounding so good. Also like a lot of groups, they've had their squabbles and divided up for many years until a concert like this brings them back together.
