If you make it to the end...well done!
philly-3029 May 2008
Really, if you can make it to the end of this movie...well done! I will say, I'm a fan of 'cheap movies', I like Ed Wood style stuff. When stuff is so bad, it then becomes entertaining. I love 'ham'.

This is not one of those films. It's terrible, and not terrible in a good way, so it's entertaining to watch, it's just terrible.

Everything about it. The acting was awful, the direction childish (and childish doesn't really cover it), terrible story...just bad, bad, bad! The only people who would watch this film to the end are the people that starred in it! If you had nothing to do with this film and you make it to the end, you deserve a medal. This movie is only good for to show people how NOT to make movies!

Low Budget Horror that needs better audio
jfgibson7310 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Low budget horror with a primarily African-American cast set in a sorority. Sounded like good ingredients. It wasn't much fun.

The story involves a group of girls who have just purchased a new house for their sorority. We learn from the opening scene that in this house, a young girl killed herself because her boyfriend stood her up. After all the girls play with a Ouija board and get settled in, and after several guys sneak in to hook up with some of the girls, the killings start. The ghost of the girl comes after the guys and girls one by one.

Part of what made this hard to enjoy was the technical limitations. The audio was so low that it was really hard to hear everything. Some of the actors were actually doing a good job, behaving very naturally as if they were improvising. It didn't have that wooden, scripted feel that a low of low budget movies have. But their words were really low and muffled. Not only was it hard to hear, but I couldn't really make out what I was seeing a lot of the time. Almost every scene had some kind of colored tinting to it that obscured the actors faces. One shot has a girl running down a dark blue hallway, the next shot is the ghost moving through a dark orange background. I liked the girl who played the mean-spirited "queen bee" of the group, but they never really gave her anything to do except toss off a few insults and die. I can only guess that this movie wasn't that much fun to make, because it definitely isn't much fun to watch.

If you like cheap awful horror movies then this movie is for you.
tnp91-123 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
From the first dialogue spoken in this awful movie you feel like pressing the stop and eject buttons on your remote control. I rented this movie and could barely understand what the actors in this movie were saying and did not understand why the producer/director had to do a poorly rip-off of Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2. Why in the flashback beginning of this movie did Dahlia kill herself? Because she was pregnant by an unwanted boyfriend. Why did she come back as a ghost to kill the rest of the awful cast? Because they deserved to die. Why did I continue to watch this God-awful movie? Because I thought it would get better, too bad I was wrong. If you want a cheap good scare, uh I mean, laugh, then this movie is for you.

Could have been a lot better!

Warning: Spoilers
Sorority Sister Slaughter 2007 follows a group of six sorority sisters who buy a house which turns out to be haunted, throw in some men and you have your usual ingredients for a standard horror film.

Warning:This review contains some minor spoilers!

The house previously belonged to another group of sorority sisters in which one of them committed suicide because she had problems with her boyfriend and was treated like an outcast.

I had read several reviews on this film before watching it and despite the bad points I thought I would still give it a watch.

There are a few surprises along the way with a twist ending which were not very thought provoking. One thing I thought was interesting was that it was an urban horror film and many of the actors/actresses were black.

The sound and music were very poor and the dialogue between characters at times was so low that i had to raise the volume up to its highest to hear what people were saying. The picture quality of the production ranged from above average to scenes where the picture either went out of focus or there were tinges of bright colours in the background.

On the positive side there were two female characters that i thought acted relatively alright, one being the bitchy sorority sister of the group who had more dynamic to her character than most of the others and another girl whom i thought might make it to the end but she got killed around the half way point of the film, there are also a few creative death scenes. There was a scene near the end where the killer is chasing the surviving sorority sister down the hallways of the house in what lasted about five minutes, anyone would have thought she was being chased in a mansion, along with some very unconvincing screams and a show of emotions.

My rating is 4 out of 10.

BREAK OUT THE OUIJA BOARD...BECAUSE WE CAN
nogodnomasters20 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
A sister kills herself in the 1950's giving herself an abortion with a knitting needle. Bill didn't want to marry her. Fifty years later another sorority takes over the house...Ouija board....boys... angry ghost.

The house had red lights in every room or else they used a red filter. The camera angle was titled and incredibly out of focus. The film was short and pointless. Not watchable.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity. Part of a Scream Queen 5-pack
