An Avant-Gard comedy
JuleCarey12 November 2006
Caught Off Tard is a short eclectic film that is a superb blend of reality and Avant-Gard comedy. It dives into dark areas of life, and spices it with an over-all comedic vibe. It's sharp sarcastic portrayal of Social Service workers thrust into the lives of "special" people trying to find love and live as others do...makes you think, feel and laugh...while the mother of Festor, a severely challenged character, struggles to help her son succeed, in a world that can be quite cruel. This film is a poignant mix of darkness and light, and well worth viewing. Writer Director, Joseph Basile is not afraid to delve into areas of life that we often turn our thoughts and minds away from.
