White Ichigo, from now on only referred to as "White", is the inner demon trope to his core. He's the evil power in the protagonist that gives the MC a big power boost and makes him feel bad for relying on an evil power to fight, but unlike some other inner demons, like Kurama and Asta's devil, White has personality from his first appearance.
And that character is something that isn't there anymore in modern shounen .it is as if Kubo crafted a perfect inner demon of a character that feels real ,logical and also does the job for you.
Compare this to Kurama, who didn't really have a personality other than battery for Naruto when he can't win for a long while, and never had plans beside just taking control of Naruto. White's plan of making Ichigo's power his someday seems to be the same, but as we see as the story progresses, that's clearly not his true goal. He takes over Ichigo multiple times, but every time it happens, it's to keep Ichigo safe or it's something forced by others.
Comparing it to Asta's demon, Liebe doesn't get a personality until the most recent arc, and he just doesn't have a goal. Liebe is the definition of plot battery for the MC. Unless Tabata does something really good with Liebe in the story to come, he's going to end up in the same boat as Kurama.
