With Law & Order: Svu’s tenth season well underway, its actors have kept themselves busy with other endeavors. In fact, we recently reported that Richard Belzer, who plays Detective John Munch on the series, recently released a novel titled “I Am Not A Cop!” He recently spoke to the New York Magazine to talk about the novel and his encounter with Hulk Hogan over 20 years ago.
"The inspiration partly comes from when I was filming Homicide years ago and we were doing a scene in an alleyway and a shoplifter ran around the corner into the middle of the set," Belzer says of his inspiration to write the novel. "He dropped the bag and raised his hands and then he recognized me and said, 'Oh s---! It's Munch!' It was the convergence of reality and celebrity. I've always been fascinated by that."
