Warning: Spoilers
How good it is to not have the Luke/Lorelai angst thrown at your face, every ten seconds anymore. Fan girls really love the most annoying TV couples... After Logan became more tolerable (and threw away that ugly « shredder style » jacket) and we learned Lane is pregnant. Lorelai is finally not as infuriating, trying to rekindle her relationship with Christopher. As well as having her first « grown up » relationship with a man. And it seems to actually work. I know, writers will screw it all up eventually, because that's how they roll. But so far, I'm savoring it and look forward to know what other reviewers think is so horrible about the Paris episode... Luke doing his own thing is ok, but his storyline was boring on this episode. And I only enjoyed his scenes with Lane and April. Also, why is Lisa Weil still listed on the opening credits? Her character is barely relevant this season. Not that Sookie and Kirk are, but she's supposed to be this big fan favorite. And the more I rewatch the series, the less I see why. Too bad Krysten Ritter is not in this episode, she definitely left an impression.

Ugh

I hate this episode every time I see it. The thought that Luke, an avid fisherman and awarded sportsman through high school, does not know how to swim is comical.

Season 7 getting a little better
ISmellSnow16 January 2021
Season 7 is slowly starting to feel more like its previous seasons. There's going to be some bumps along the way but I think the new writers are starting to get the hang of it a little more.

It's Yales parents weekend and Lorelai and Chris decide to go. Emily and Richard attend also. Chris and Lorelai take Rory and her newspaper staff out to eat and they all get a little drunk. A news story has broke and Rory is a bit peeved that her staff might be too drunk to do their jobs.

Meanwhile, Luke goes on a crazy date with April's crazy swim coach. It's pretty funny to see Luke squirm. Also, wouldn't we think that Luke already knows how to swim? This puzzles me but oh well.
