Sid takes pity on a poor burglar.
Sleepin_Dragon17 March 2024
Charlie is horrified when Sid takes pity on a burglar, simply because he's a nice, little man. Rather than have the man arrested, Sod visits dog breeder Mrs. Bullock-Smythe, and acquires a guard dog, a Tibetan Yak hound.

It's a good slice of sitcom land, once again there are a good few moments, and several laughs, two really nice moments, that scene where the neighbours, a curious bunch, take up shelter inside Sid's house, and of course Sid and Charlie picking up the new dog.

What a shame we don't get to see the dog, fortunately though we do get to see the wonderful Irene Handl, who is quite wonderful as the horsey dog breeder, notable that she plays the part straight, there's no bumbling or jumbling of words, as was her trademark.

You'll also see a young Damaris Hayman, that voice is unmistakably.

7/10.
