While you might think "The Perfect Match" is about matchmakers or a con who takes advantages of a woman he's dating, it has nothing to do with this at all. Instead, it's about a jewel theft.
The show is about jewels. Mr. and Mrs. Haggerty visit a high-end jewelry store and buy an extremely valuable emerald. This is an unusual case because normally con-men don't spend so much money in order to hook a sucker. However, they spend a lot because they know they can easily double their money. But how? See the show and you'll understand.
While this is a very complex and interesting episode, at the end it completely falls apart. One of the victims tells Captain Braddock about the theft and Braddock then presents an epilogue--saying everything was (miraculously and off-camera) wrapped up and the case was solved! I saw this sort of stupid ending in a couple other episodes of the series and it makes a relatively good story very disappointing.
