The fleet has managed to pass through the radiation belt and the harvesting of the algae that they will use for food has begun. Chief Tyrol is on the surface but finds himself drawn away from the encampment and finds a cave which contains a temple; a temple that matches the description of one left by the thirteenth tribe on their way to Earth. They haven't had long to examine it when four Cylon base ships jump into orbit and rather than attacking they propose a deal. While negotiations are taking place on Galactica Athena has a conversation with Boomer and learns that her daughter is still alive
indicating to her that people she trusted lied to her. As the end approaches it looks as if there will be a major conflict; the Cylons are heading down to the surface and Admiral Adama is threatening to destroy the site of the temple to keep the possible map to Earth from the Cylons.
This was another gripping episode where it looks as if another major character could be dead and given how she was lied to about her daughter Athena's loyalty to humanity could be tested to breaking point. Grace Park put in a good performance as Athena and Boomer and Dean Stockwell brought some humour to the episode as the Cylon Cavall. While the main story was good I could have done without the sexual tension between Starbuck and Apollo; I don't mind it so much in the filler episodes but here I want to concentrate on more important things.
