US Marine recruiter sergeant Timothy Hicks's corps was dumped at a civilian gun range and shot again, accidentally, by adolescent Derrick Perry . He and his mate Matthew Batra were training there. Hicks was apparently knocked out after being drugged with ketamine recently stolen from his wife Donna's veterinary practice. A fingerprint suggests Hicks was dragged there by rivaling recruiter sergeant Sean Reynolds, a former assault suspect, who claims he just restrained Hicks when exploding over an anonymous letter calling him a murderer. It came from USMC corporal Kevin Kirby, whose brother, Patrick, was recently killed in Iraqi action, which Kevin blames himself for. That's disproved by Horatio's team, which reconstructs a different story.
