The best Swedish film production ever?
OJT7 September 2015
The telephone rings. the policeman Tommy answers, and gets to know that his sister is suspected for murder. Even worse. Murdering a kid. She says she doesn't remember a thing, though all evidence leads to her. The door was locked from the inside, her finger prints are on the murder weapon, and so on. When the police realizes that the killed boy is sexually abused the whole Hell breaks loose. Then the brother also is a suspect, and the neighbors have no doubts. But doubts?

This Swedish production is simply the best I've ever seen. Pernilla August is simply amazing in her role as the sister waking up to a family nightmare. August is simply spellbinding in her role. And not only her. All the actors are doing a fabulous job in the hands of female director Mareia Von Heland. Anders Ekborg, Lia Boysen and above all Pernilla August. Doing great. August her best role ever.

Maria Von Heland has also written the script, which is real gold. She manages to get around the theme of pedophilia with amazing ease. Suspicion is the same as guilty in cases like these.

Other strong movies like this one, are "Sønner"/"Sons" and "Jagten"/"The Hunt".

Very underrated. Really, really recommended!
