This show includes footage of the first cars to travel the unpaved Lincoln Highway, America's first cross-country route, in 1913. That film was in storage at the University of Michigan and had started to decompose, requiring careful attention by the Disney technicians to make a permanent copy for future school use.
Footage was also included from a short film produced by the Southern California chapter of the Horseless Carriage Club, parodying the efforts of early motorists.
