Vice Presidential Nuttiness
Hitchcoc7 February 2019
What is the VP up to? Powers Booth plays an inflexible war monger. He is filmed to have a huge presence over everyone else. They focus on his big head and face as he ignores any sort of advice or reason. His whole thing started with a lie which Lennox is afraid to expose (we are watching him start to unravel). This episode is wonderful because it's suspense from beginning to end. We also have the appearance of Ricky Schroeder who is running things his way in the CTU. He has a reputation as a hatchet man in the company. There is an effort being launched by Karen to try to revive the President so he can put a stop to this. His sister is going to be engaged in this. We also find out that Audrey is dead. So much in such a short space.

so SO juicy!!

Wow I just saw this episode. Even though it was 11 at night, I was still captivated and definitely alert! This is such a great episode I taped it and watched it again this morning. Of course, there are some classic 'as if' 24 moments - but it totally redeems itself the whole way through. There were a lot of great lines, twists, and character development. And there was also some rare humor thanks to Morris and Chloe. At episode fourteen, we are getting some really juicy character plots and now I feel as if I'm caring about what happens to people other than Jack or Chloe!

Enjoy!

Another day, another evil president

Warning: Spoilers
Vice President Daniels orders a nuclear attack on some Middle East country (not sure which one). This is a lot like last season's Charles Logan ordering to shoot down the civilian airplane with Jack on it.

So it's clear that this Vice President has some agenda we don't know about yet. I think it's almost certainly tied to Phillip Bauer's company, and Daddy Bauer is almost certainly the man behind all of this. Maybe Daniels is trying to start a war and Phillip Bauer's company will somehow benefit from the war. What could it be? What could Daddy Bauer possibly gain from a World War III scenario? My guess is that it has to do with family, possibly Jack himself.

If 24 needs to continue to surprise viewers, it needs to provide a villain who is even more formidable than last season's President of the United States + Jack Bauer's brother combination. Right now we've got the Vice President of the United States + Jack Bauer's father. However, the actors who play these two big villains of season 6 are weaker. Phillip Bauer's actor is okay, looks kinda like Death on Supernatural, and Vice President Daniels's character is poorly played. He makes every phone call with the same kind of cockiness, the "look at me no matter what crisis there is I'll just laugh and enjoy because I wanna start a war" look on his face.
