Hi Bones Booth! This was a fun story. We've known since episode one that Brennan is an author, but this is the first time we've taken a look at the books. I like how she shuts down her publisher, Ellen, when suggesting that Brennan not need to work at the lab anymore since she's making so much money with her writing. It's a shame Ellen decides that Brennan loving her work means that she needs therapy. But then Ellen hilariously calls it back when Brennan denies writing the, "dirty little scenes" about Booth. That's probably the better reasoning for needing therapy.

It didn't take long to figure out there was a murder conspiracy afoot. They spent an extra long time showing the syndactyly on the man's hand who clearly wanted his brother-in-law dead when he had an iron-clad alibi. Each one of the killers were so obvious. Hank was more pathetic, but it was still clear he had a grudge against his boss.

While the squint squad is, "debating the method of bullet retrieval," from the rats, Cam pokes her head in to tell them, "I fed all the rats a combination of extra-strength laxatives and soft-tissue dilator when they arrived so it shouldn't be long now." I love how Cam had done that when she knew very well that she would not have to be the one to deal with the bullet retrieval. Then Angela quickly hightails it out of there. I'd be right with her.

A Nice Character Balance
Hitchcoc21 January 2023
Tempe is a best selling author. She is Kathy Reichs who is a character in the books. I won't explain. Anyway, she has a huge bestseller right out of the gate with her second novel. Unfortunately, this book's victims begin to die like those in the book, all three consumed by animals or insects. But like a good Agatha Christie mystery, we have to look deeper than the obvious killer to get at the truth. Much of the episode is Bones trying to come to grips with the murders. She is filled with guilt as she feels she fed the murderer a method for dispatching the victims. Sully and Booth butt heads over Brennan, though Booth won't admit it. Very good work.

One of the best Bones episodes ever!

Warning: Spoilers
Hi Bones Booth. Your biggest English fan here. (Jan from Twitter.) Why do I say it's one of the best? Well two reasons. 1. It has Caroline Julian in it. I love it it when she takes the whole Jeffersonian team to task for their childish ways in this case. Hodgins should really just have come clean about his romance with the wife.

2. I love the way that Booth is torn between wanting to see Bones happy and his growing feelings for her himself. Great acting by David here.

Love, love love it! This episode is a Ten out of Ten from me.

Hey Bones Booth Pod!

Warning: Spoilers
Ugh so gross Hodgins most people aren't as excited by that as you. Hahaha Angela "Testosterone spill on aisle four." She's emotional and rightfully so because someone is using her book as a killer's guide not because she's dating Sully. As much as I want her and Booth to get together is hard not to root for Sully. Yes Booth your shrink will be pissed. Oliver is just as creepy if not more so. Oh Angela with the intimate wisdom loved this whole scene lol. This episode is very reminiscent of Strangers on a train. I wonder if the creators of Castle took some inspiration from this ep.
