A Great Show(SPOILERS)

I love urban legends. I think that they are creepy and mysterious. They are also fun to hear about. When I heard that TV Land was going to have a show dedicated to movie and television myths I was obviously very excited. I thought that this would be a very fun television show. It is also an accuse to watch TV Land. Anyway, when this came on my dreams came true. This is just as good as I thought it would be. It had some very famous myths, including my personal favorite, the hung Munchkin.

Here is the basis of the show. It is very simplistic. An infamous myth is told. Then celebrities are interviewed to see their view and opinion of the legend. Some celebrities think that the myth is one hundred percent true, some are really skeptical. Usually in the end of each legend nobody knows if the myth is true or not. It might leave us hanging, but some myths the people point out how the myth can not be true or how it could true. There is usually four myths in each half-hour episode.

Overall, this is a great show to watch. Some myths you have heard, some you have never even thought of. Let me just say this. I have said it in my Wizard of Oz comment and I will say it again, there is no munchkin that is hung on a tree. It is a crane, just a crane. There was no death on the set of the Wizard of Oz, just big birds from the zoo. Anyway, I must say, some of the myths are creepy, but I think you will know the answer to most of the legends. Who cares, though? This is an entertaining show.

10/10

Recommended Titles: The Wizard of Oz, Three Men and a Baby (For the predictable but creepy myths.)

Typical Viacom "trivia" show
frankg-1522 October 2008
Like Viacom's related style of show on VH1 "100 best/worst etc. rock scandal/celebrity jealousy of any given time period" this is an empty, contrived half-effort at "entertainment", produced as cheaply as possible while using senseless quick cuts, endless repeat shots and shaky camera work. Also like VH-1, TV Land's Myths and Legends uses so-called "celebrities" for commentary on things they obviously know nothing about.

Mr. Ed was a Zebra, huh? Who thought of that? TV Land should stick to reruns; Their original programming makes the worst episode of The Partridge Family look like The Maltese Falcon.
