No Zen for you
It was my great pleasure to produce and be the production designer on this project . Starring Francesco Quinn and Luigi LoPresti and shot by the talented Adam Biddle on the Sony Cinealta 900 and supported by the equally talented Christopher Gallo on the Sony HDZ . It was shot in one day in Baker California after a torrential rain storm. This left the normally bone dry lake beds of full of sparkling water. We planned for a day when the moon was full moon which happened to be on first day of spring. With this setting I was able to create a 14th century Japan feel that the writer Robert Subiaga was after. This setting also helped make Joe MacDougall's directorial debut a success. To the credit the others who worked in the art department . Tom Marchak supplied SFX services and the talented Carol Mushlitz was the costume designer and Jason Reese (Rusty Plastic) did the poster
